Onsite Coverage for the 2008 U.S. Amateur Championship

Two new members were inducted into the U.S. Amateur Championship Hall of Champions Sunday evening at Mr. Cues II in Atlanta.

In the Men's Division, Travis Gunn of Hewitt, Texas, defeated Robert Chris Walls of High Springs, Fla., 11-7.  Amy Chen of Norcross, Ga., defeated Rhio Anne Flores of Jersey City, N.J.  Both champions will advance to a pro tournament next year.

In 3rd Place in the Women’s Division is 2007 Runner-up Betty Sessions of Atlanta.  Finishing in 3rd Place in the Men’s Division is Brian Parks of Bakersfield, Calif.  In 4th Place in the Men’s Division is last year’s champion Jason Richko of Trinity, Fla.   Tying for 5th Place in the Men’s Division are Carl Gay of North Augusta, Ga., and Robert Hall of Huntsville, Ala.
